The application window is expected to close on November 1, 2024.What youll doAs a core member of the Duo Quality Engineering team, you will write code to test our applications for functionality and performance, with the end goal of making the security of our cloud and mobile products easy for our customers and end users. You will do this in an environment where continuous integration is in place and code is released to production bi-weekly.You will partner with engineering teams to build automation frameworks and bake quality in each step of the software development process. You will define, measure, and publish metrics to measure product quality and drive quality improvements. You will understand business priorities and risks, and help focus our quality efforts on where they matter the most.This is a highly technical role with a core requirement of effective collaboration and communication across engineering team members and attention to detail. Success in this role would be achieved by helping us build, test, automate, and deploy Duos mobile applications and services swiftly while improving engineering efficiency and developer productivity.Who Youll Work WithYoull be joining Duo; the fastest-growing SaaS business in the Security Business Group within Cisco. Youll be a part of Duos Quality Engineering team whose mission is to empower engineers with the quality tools, frameworks, and processes to continuously (on demand, anytime) ship high-quality code to customers.You will discover a creative, flexible, and inclusive working environment where our core values are: Engineer the Business, Learn Together, Be Kinder than Necessary and Build for the Future.Preferred candidates are located in Ann Arbor, MI or Austin, TXMinimum Qualifications3+ years of programming experience using Python or a similar language.1+ year of experience in developing test automation using Selenium or a similar framework.1+ year of experience with CI tools and automated build systems such as GitLab and Jenkins.Preferred QualificationsWork on test automation projects up to a 1 quarter time horizon, thereby improving quality across the Engineering Organization.Experience with cloud infrastructure to include AWS, GCP or Azure.Experience with Sauce Labs, Browserstack, or similar automated testing platforms.Experience working with a microservice infrastructure, using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, and OpenShift.Experience with data platforms/analytics tools such as Elastic/Opensearch and Kibana, Snowflake, and Datadog.Experience writing mobile native application tests using Swift XCTest, Espresso with Kotlin/Java, and frameworks like AppiumProven track record of performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Motivation and passion to stay on top of new technologies.Attention to detail, dependability, and a passion for continuous improvement.Partner with all collaborators across engineering to implement test automation frameworks and improve product quality and engineering efficiency.Initiate and facilitate substantial discussions about sophisticated issues.Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the team, communicate standards and get consensus on solutions.Interpret, add to, and complete multi-functional plansWork with key team members to make critical decisionsLead initiatives and meetings within the team and functional areaMotivate and empower teammates to achieve a higher level of performanceGarner resources for the whole team to complete its workWhy Cisco SecureWe're global, we're adaptable, we're diverse, and our security portfolio is as extensive as it is groundbreaking.
