**Job Description:**
- Work in the Clinical Decision "Observation" Unit as a Registered Nurse.- Care for patients with a variety of conditions, including observation, general medical, post-op PCI, post-op general and gynecological surgery, short-stay inpatient and/or extended outpatient stay, GI bleed, SBO, ESRD, CHF, COPD, and chronic bi-pap/C-pap.- Limited care for isolation patients; no chemo, peritoneal dialysis, acute bi-pap, hemodynamically unstable pre-op, or post-op requiring step-down level of care.- Provide patient care with a ratio of 1:5 during days and 1:6 during night shifts.- Participate in a mandatory weekend coverage every other weekend.- All travelers must expect to float between various like units within their skill set.- Complete non-billable modules pre-start and annually, averaging 16 hours.- Orientation provided at 40 hours, non-billable.- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).- References from at least 2 supervisory roles covering 1 year in the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting are required.- If necessary for the assignment, communication devices (pager, cell phone, etc.) will be provided for job duties. Absence of provided cell phone will result in compensation for work-related use.
