Position Summary Under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor, the cycle counter ensures inventory accuracy by counting materials, comparing counts to system data, and investigating discrepancies.Ensures materials are in the proper locations, verify the accuracy of shipping orders, maintain labeling for storage locations, verify inventory on stock outs and shortages, and analyze material movements.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous experience in inventory or cycle counting.Desired QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Multi-task and prioritize tasks as requested.HACCP and SQF certifications are preferred.Scissor lift and forklift certifications preferred.Excel Skills- Intermediate (Users should have knowledge of how Excel functions behave when copied, pasted, or dragged to different locations. Ensures accurate data analysis and manipulation).Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.Proficient in outlook and communication with internal and external personnel over the phone or via email.ResponsibilitiesCounts raw materials, packaging, and finished goods on a daily basis.Compares the physical count to the system data and research any discrepancies.Investigates the origin of discrepancies and report them to those responsible for inventory.Maintains inventory count records and data files.Processes records related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials.Assists with locating materials for the warehouse, production, engineering, and customer service.Publishes inventory metrics as required.Report results accurately and completely in proper documentation to Inventory Control Supervisor, with supported explanations for differences. Reported results should include accuracy % by location and warehouse.Achieves a 99% minimum accuracy via implementation of the cycle count plan, and remediation plans addressing issues causing count differences.Performs weekly count of on-site totes and communicate to Inventory Control Supervisor for use in weekly tote reconciliation.Functions as co-coordinator and auditor for annual physical inventories.Provides written documentation of any procedural issues causing inventory inaccuracies to the Inventory Control Supervisor and meet with appropriate managers to determine & implement corrective action.Utilizes RF gun to count inventory and post cycle count quantities in the Inventory Control program.Documents damaged product.Other assignments that leadership may require.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and perform counts in refrigerated coolers.Frequent standing walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing stairs.Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.Fast-paced manufacturing / packaging work environment.
