Job Description:Answering and directing phone callsFiling incoming faxesScheduling consultations, surgeries, pre-op, post-op, and follow up apptsCoordinating with director of practice, facilities, other physicians, and staffCompleting and editing operative reports with director of practicePreparing surgery consent forms and scheduling sheetsManaging pathology reportsAccurately and thoroughly documenting medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physicianManaging and guiding surgical candidates independentlyResponding to patient questions and concerns via phone/emailAssisting with office projects and surgical studiesObtaining and documenting vitalsRooming patientsAdministering injectionsPrepping procedures in officeCleaning rooms to meet OSHA requirements/expectations
Qualifications:Medical administrative supportMedical office experienceComputer skillsPatient serviceOffice experienceClerical experienceFront desk operationsKnowledge of medical records managementAdministrative experienceFamiliarity with medical receptionist dutiesProficiency in medical terminologyExperience with EMR systemsUnderstanding of HIPAA regulationsCPT coding knowledgeProficiency in Microsoft OfficeCustomer service skillsExperience with multi-line phone systemsPlease reference Job number: 186357
