Employees must be in their role for 12 months before applying to other roles.What You Will Do:Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment, accept material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings, use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results and perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation and follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followedPerform Solumina required job audits for Op Cert surveillance and perform OpCert over inspects, as requiredMaintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assignedDetailed inspection cert is required at the conclusion of trainingTrain other operators to perform work tasks and provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team and demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibits consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivityBending, reaching, pulling, pushingWhat You Will Learn:Working on the production line, you will inspect blades and vanes as well as perform over-inspects for operators. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed. The inspector will be working to obtain an inspection stamp or have a newly required stamp. They will be able to perform basic inspection functions like being able to read a blueprint, use basic hand gauges and understand technical standards. The basic operations would include final inspection, writing Quality Notifications and performing over-inspects for operations. They inspector could be training on advanced layout inspection skills.
