Gulfstream Quality Organizations mission is to assure that delivered products demonstrate a level of quality consistent with design requirements, practical cost considerations, and compliance to applicable regulatory requirements.Seeking candidates to fill multiple Summer Internship positions in the following Quality Disciplines: Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Continuous Improvement and ErgonomicsStudents should have the following skills and/or abilities:
Conduct research, investigation, and analysis in connection with assigned projects, to ensure conformance to requirementsTechnical data generation, construction, and analysis to identify opportunities of improvement for Quality process issuesCross-Functional organization interaction required to support all internal organizations in problem solving effortsEnsure quality policies are being practiced; provide recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality/standardizationIdentify potential process improvements based on Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement principlesInitiate and maintain accurate daily/weekly activity status based on work output, as requiredAssist in the design and development of key metrics and dashboards to identify project effectivenessEducation and Experience Requirements:Pursuing Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Aviation Sciences, Engineering, Reliability, Quality or related technical discipline requiredPrior aviation experience/knowledge preferredGeneral knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodology preferredStrong skills with Microsoft Office suite required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, Visio, Catia, or similar applications preferred, but not required.Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and it must be maintained up to and throughout the internship.

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform one or more projects that require project planning, interaction with other organizations and people to coordinate closure of tasks necessary to complete project on schedule with minimal supervisionSelf-starter who is eager to learn and accept challengesDocument business processes into Standard Operating ProceduresHave reliable transportation for the duration of the internshipMust be able to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 12Perform analysis of operations to identify quality, safety, and efficiency improvementsAssist in calculation of aircraft reliability performance metrics such as Failure Rates, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR) from reliability databases in support of internal and external customersShare responsibility of developing and maintaining SharePoint websites and/or databasesPerform other duties as assigned
