The Production Assistant is responsible for collecting all products from the end of the production line and packing the products per customer or job requirements. This position is also responsible for keeping the products and quantities grouped with respective orders. This position works Monday-Friday; 6:00am-2:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Takes direction from the machine operators and/or production supervisor and completes assignments in a timely manner to ensure job requirements are metCollecting products from production line; packing jobs according to specifications; establishes counts, validates quantities, and product orientationPerforms systematic checks of product to ensure requirements are met, identifies quality issues and alerts the machine operatorsMaintains general appearance of surrounding press; picking up waste, wiping spills and cleaning machinesOther duties as assignedRequirements
High school Diploma or equivalent preferredGeneral mathematical skillsAbility to comprehend number sequencings and recognize errorsAbility to differentiate colors in order to distinguish printing errorsMust be reliable, dependable and punctualCommunicates clearly with others. Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsHigh level of attention to detail and task orientatedAbility to remain in a stationary position and move about on a concrete floor for 100% of shiftAbility to push, lift and pull up to 30 lbs. repetitively during shiftAbility to move and position self to operate on, under and around machines
