Job Description
The Medical Assistant (Float) responsibilities include traveling from VdS site to site when needed for MA coverage in both primary and psychiatric specialty practices. Hours may vary and could include both opening and closing clinics. Medical Assistant is prepared to provide services to clients ensuring a timely client flow through the clinical process. Responsible for maintaining inventory and stocking clinic. Under the medical oversight of a doctor or advanced practice provider, the MA will support patient care by preparing patients for their provider visit, providing interpretation when appropriate, carrying out orders and routine procedures consistent with Medical Assistant Scope of practice, Federal, State and agency policy and procedure, and coordinating post visit care needs such as documentation, scheduling follow-up, processing referrals, and communicating results as needed.

Qualifications
18 years or olderTravel required to multiple sitesGraduation and diploma from an Accredited Medical Assisting ProgramMust complete internal credentialing and privileging within 90 days of hire dateGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashionAbility to provide culturally sensitive servicesKnowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systemsTB test, Hep B Vaccine, Immunization RecordsCovid 19 Vaccination or Qualified Exemption (Religious or Medical).Must have or be able to obtain valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardCPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) trained or the ability to be trained within 90 days of hire dateBasic Life Support trained or the ability to be trained within 90 days of hire dateMust possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance or sign waiver
