Apply Job Type Full-time Description TRISTAR is seeking a Software Developer IV for our government customer in Bloomington, IN Seeking talented Software Developer with expertise in C++ to join our team In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the current code base, which includes installation scripts, maintenance tools, and other key software components You will also work on analyzing existing code to understand its functionality and contribute to building out a robust software development plan Position Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain existing C++ code base Create and update installation scripts and maintenance tools Analyze existing code to troubleshoot, optimize, and understand functionality Collaborate with stakeholders and a cross-functional team to plan and maintain existing code base Build out development plans for future releases Work within an Agile environment, using Jira for ticketing and project tracking Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues Requirements Proven experience in C++ development, minimum of 3 years Strong understanding of code analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting Familiarity with building installation scripts and maintenance tools Experience working in Agile development environments Experience with Jira for issue tracking and project management Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as in a team Strong written and verbal communication skills Travel less than 10% Must be a US Citizen Must have active Secret Clearance Education and Certification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Must have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification prior to start date COVID Policy: TRISTAR does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
