Position Title: PLC Programmer/Engineering Employment Type: Contract to Hire Position Summary: The Contract to Hire PLC Programmer will be responsible for building and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The ideal candidate will have experience in developing automation solutions and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently. This role requires strong expertise in PLC programming and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with Engineers. Key Responsibilities: Design and Program: Build PLC programs for automated systems to meet operational and project requirements. Maintain Systems: Ensure the smooth functioning of PLC-driven systems by performing routine maintenance and updates. Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to PLCs, minimizing downtime and operational delays. Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety regulations, ensuring systems are compliant and user safety is prioritized. Collaborate: Work closely with a cross-functional team, including engineering, maintenance, and production departments, as well as clients and end-users, to ensure that systems meet required specifications and perform efficiently. Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. Proven experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Proficiency with PLC programming languages and software (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi). Strong knowledge of automation control systems, electrical systems, and safety protocols. Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
