Job Summary

We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) 3 with Snowflake expertise to join our team. The DBA will be responsible for database management, data analysis, performance tuning, and supporting the full development lifecycle of application systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with Snowflake and expertise in ETL processes. This role involves maintaining data dictionaries, monitoring database performance, and coordinating data warehousing jobs while ensuring system standards and quality requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform data dictionary analysis and design and data model analysis design.

•Maintain and manage the central data repository.

•Support the application system development lifecycle with database solutions.

•Ensure data dictionary backup and recovery processes are in place and functioning.

•Define and enforce data dictionary standards and best practices.

•Program and maintain dictionary analysis and maintenance software as needed.

•Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning to ensure efficiency.

•Track and manage database space requirements.

•Schedule and monitor end-of-day data warehousing jobs.

•Assist with software release coordination to ensure smooth deployments.

•Provide accurate and timely status updates to stakeholders.

•Manage and report time spent on all assigned work activities.

•Follow quality standards and best practices to ensure reliable outcomes.

•Work collaboratively in a team environment and complete assigned tasks.

•Maintain strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Qualifications

•5+ years of experience with Snowflake.

•Expertise in ETL processes.

•Experience with data dictionary management, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

•Ability to monitor and optimize database performance and space requirements.

•Strong understanding of application system development lifecycles.

•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

•Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience coordinating software releases.

•Familiarity with production tools and utilities used for data storage management.

•Strong organizational and time management skills.
