Position Purpose: Under limited supervision, the EHR Analyst Technician provides primary support to staff on all electronic health record (HER)-related applications. The EHR Analyst Technician serves as a member of the Help Desk team and collaborates with the team to offer technical support over the phone, email, remote assistance, and in person. The EHR Analyst Technician collaborates with the EHR team to resolve EHR-related issues, prioritize enhancement requests, and works with the Help Desk team on general computer-related problems. They determine the source of the issue, advise on appropriate corrective action, or take necessary actions. This position reports to the Next-Gen/EHR Manager and may be assigned various projects, as needed. Principal Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive user support for Next-Gen EHR applications, ensuring efficient functionality and addressing end-users' inquiries effectively. Works independently and collaboratively with the Systems Administrator to maintain Next-Gen, EDR, and various other applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Designs and implements training sessions for new software applications, assuming the role of EHR Trainer. Oversees the maintenance of the Helpdesk workflow, efficiently managing Helpdesk tickets to meet organizational needs. Operates both independently and within a team framework to proactively identify, research, and resolve a spectrum of workflow and technical EHR issues. Assumes responsibility for the continuous maintenance, upgrading, and testing of new and existing software applications. Collaborates with the EHR Team to plan and execute customizations, configurations, and upgrades to enhance the functionality of the Next-Gen EHR system. Works closely with the Clinical Information Manager to address and resolve all Next-Gen-related issues. Takes charge of documenting essential training methods and application processes, ensuring a comprehensive knowledge base for the organization. Collaborates with Clinic Administrators to schedule and conduct user training sessions, providing guidance on the usage and maintenance of software applications. Responds promptly to inquiries from callers and support tickets, extending assistance to JWCH staff and guests through various channels, including remote support, email correspondence, and in-person interactions. Takes on additional duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements: Knowledge of EHR system Next-Gen with some trainer experience. Minimum one year of work experience, ideally in a healthcare setting. Ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various assigned projects and tasks. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with people with different backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete projects with tight deadlines and time constraints. Skills necessary to obtain EHR-certified trainer-level knowledge and a complete understanding of the latest version of the EHR application. Solid understanding of the implementation process and the various interdependencies between operations and technology, both internal and external. Proficient in the following Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; proficiency with PowerPoint. Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Environmental Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Work is performed in a busy office environment and requires sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer 90% of the time. Manual dexterity for using computer keyboard. Frequent contact with employees and management. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions. May change as needs evolve.
