Here, you will make an impact by:Connecting customers with 3M expertise in Hyperscale Data center business and technology, build up 3M insights and foresights about Data Center business via a data driven processLeading technical interactions with customers to understand their needs, gathering their feedback and translating their requirements into product use requirementsDetermining if existing 3M solutions meet customer needs or if a new product will be neededSupporting winning business through data driven interactions with customers and developing customer specific application relevant data packages and product use informationWorking with customers and 3M to develop wholistic solutions using 3M product as well as process understanding of Hyperscale Data center customersLeverage the insights and knowledge from market research and engagement with leading customers, build up 3M growth idea hopper and pipelinePartner with Hyperscale Data center customers, the TEBG Group Lab, Central Research Labs (CRL) and Division labs, evaluate and prioritize growth ideas, identify high potential opportunities with substantial customer value and sustainable 3M financial performanceWork with customers to demonstrate and prove 3M solutions via trials. Leverage 3M R&D resources appropriatelyObtain customer commitments and transition projects at the right time to commercializing Divisions.Track direct and indirect competition and propose competitive strategiesYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Polymer Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of professional experience in engineering related to data center operations in a private, public, government or military environmentBroad knowledge in the development of cooling technologies for Hyperscale Data CenterExtensive experience in data center HVAC systemsAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Strong communication skills, teamwork and problem-solving abilityExperience in transferring technology from laboratory to pilot/manufacturing plant settingsAbility to work well both in multi-disciplinary teams and independentlyTravel: May include up to 40% domesticRelocation: Is authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith est mate for this position.
