About the Position:
This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
This position is a business systems analyst supporting the Student Financials (SF) module in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions v9.2(CS) system and the Billing module in PeopleSoft FSCM v9.2. Provides functional, business support and maintenance for PeopleSoft modules mentioned.
Functional support includes application configuration, systems analysis, issue resolution and business process streamlining/re-engineering. Provides query/report writing, project management and integration support. Position also provides requirements for requested technical work, testing of processes for updates or upgrades and sign-off on customizations.
Essential Functions:Configuration and analysis of the supported systems in collaboration with the business units to ensure requirements are met with successful outcomes in the most efficient and effective manner. Translate requirements to technical design, and work with OIT staff to implement requirements.Research, replicate, and evaluate end user system problems and issues. Manages PeopleSoft SF security requests and provides day to day level two operational system support for Bursar related processes and applications. Provides system testing for new implementations, upgrades and update/fix patches.Leads discovery and collaboration with business units on business process support, gathering requirements, working with developers and other business analysts on re-engineering, streamlining, and adopting industry best practices.Keeps up to date on vendor system enhancements, technology and solutions to automate and modernize processes.Creates and maintains system and functional documentation to facilitate future support and development efforts. Document business process and any customizations through the use of flowcharting and business process documents. Determines if processes can be streamlined, considers improvement options, including automation and presents potential solutions to management.Project manage technology implementations and solutions at an enterprise level. Supports system goals and initiatives for the Bursar's office.Familiar with basic accounting principles, supports audit activities and ad hoc requests.Use Peoplesoft Query, Oracle SQL, and other tools to generate reports and validate data and information for the Bursar's office and others as needed.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Management information systems, Computer Science is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) system, PeopleSoft CS Student Financials module, PeopleSoft App Designer, Query SQL, MS Office and other business tools is required.
A d emonstrated ability to manage (plan, lead, organize, and control) multiple technical projects in a timely and cost-effective manner, analyze root causes of business problems quickly and accurately and a b asic knowledge of financial accounting is required.
