Throughout the Lifecycle of the Project, the Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) studies business processes and systems to assist the business area to determine an improved future state. Working inside the identified scope of a project, the BSA initially identifies the high-level business needs - then further refines these details later in the project. It is the responsibility of the BSA to obtain knowledge from business areas and integrate the information into documentation that is used to develop the future state solution. The Senior Business Analysts Responsibilities: Works within identified scope of project to define business system requirements by working with business clients, Business Architecture, IT, and Vendors (or cross-functional technical teams) to document and capture the appropriate business system/application impacts. Recommend systems criteria and act as the steward of project scope. Primary contact to assist in defining business system requirements. Maintains approved project artifacts and follows version control processes. Development of new process flows and functionality integration and adding any needed clarity to requirements as well as documenting progress. Own and conduct requirement elicitation sessions within multiple concurrent projects under aggressive timelines. Responsibility to validate that all requirements are met through the mapping of requirements through test cases. Perform investigation, evaluation, and documentation of system design findings. Identify potential issues and risks after conducting a gap analysis. Possess in-depth knowledge of the BSA discipline, Waterfall methodologies, and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Solve complex problems, identifying new perspectives on existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance, is resourceful, and builds teaming consensus for project teams. Ability to coach colleagues with less experience and perform peer reviews for requirements. Capture, create and apply diagrams that represent the process flows, system application flows, and/or the transformation of data within various systems current and future state. Work with appropriate departments to ensure technical information is accurately presented and documented. Consult with management and other functional areas to identify divisional needs and resolve business problems. Understand how to gather data independently for analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and practices. 5 years of relevant experience. Proven effective communication and analytical skills required to address and present the most complex ideas and concepts to users, stakeholders, and management. Demonstrated ability to define business systems solutions, make decisions, identify problems, coordinate resources, and implement changes. Outstanding facilitation and presentation skills necessary to demonstrate business systems solutions in a clear and concise manner. In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, corporate objectives, creating and developing business requirements. Ability to develop, plan, and create timelines for requirements delivery during project life cycle. Proven effectiveness in maintaining project targets and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to successfully interact with Executive Stakeholders. Proficient in Visio to create process flows, flow diagrams and swim charts. Strong waterfall methodology experience required. IIBA certification or equivalent is a plus. Healthcare Experience is preferred but not required. Experience working in a PMO is preferred. Hybrid Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
