As an Intern in the Medical Business Unit, you will: Process Development Engineering Intern for the Medical Business Unit will be responsible for supporting product and process development engineering activities of medical device products. Expected results are completion of projects as assigned which can include process development and/or characterization or other engineering projects directly contributing to the business needs with a focus on problem-solving, cost reduction, and product deliveries. Responsibilities At TE Connectivity, youll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role youll: Provide support in testing of product designs, fixture design, medical device building and processing medical devices through process equipment. Learning of medical device technologies, touring manufacturing lines, and interacting with cross-functional teams. Develop reports of test data with summaries of conclusions based on the data. Problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical processes and product designs. Youre the kind of person we are looking for if you: Have Received a High School Diploma or GED Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, with perhaps a concentration in medical device product and process design, from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.) Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 1012-week program, interns will be provided with: Onboarding & Orientation Professional Development Workshops Networking Opportunities Operations Experience Executive Exposure Timeline TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May.
