Department: Information Technology Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The IT Senior AS400 Developer is a senior level role responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of RPG ILE applications running on an AS/400 platform. Working closely with other developers under the guidance of our IT Director, the purpose of this role is to add on to and/or build out software solutions that manage our daily business operations. Please note this position is on-site. JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities Designing, coding/developing and performing acceptance testing of all new and existing integrations written on the AS/400 system Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, bugs, and other system defects Creating technical and user documentation Recording and logging asks in a project management software Participating in code walkthroughs, testing, and migration Efficiently managing projects and tasks that may have overlapping timelines Participating in bi-weekly programming meetings to work out specific development plans QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications Associates degree and extensive knowledge of AS/400 (iSeries) platform, including RPG I-IV, RPG Free, ILE, CL, and CLLE Experience in application development, complex code development, application testing and component design Subfiles and Display files SQL and DB2 databases Project management Demonstrated ability to communicate and convert needs into technical concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities Highly communicative and interpersonal Preferred Qualifications Transportation industry experience SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Developing Coding AS400 RPG SQL DB2 Trouble shooting Design Project Management Work Experience: 3 years of AS400 development experience Workshift: M-F (Day) (United States of America) Education: In compliance with Federal and State equal employment opportunity laws, qualified candidates are considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, non-job-related disability, or any other protected group status.
