As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing cloud-native solutions, leveraging AWS/Azure cloud platform APIs and Services. You should be proficient in coding within languages and frameworks compatible with that ecosystem .Net Core (C#), and Java. Our cloud-native automation infrastructure will empower you to rapidly deploy and iterate on your code. You will play a crucial role in designing data models, building APIs, and managing the flow of data across Humana systems and platforms. Your expertise will contribute to building an enterprise-scale microservices architecture, along with streaming technologies that are crucial for scaling our capabilities to serve our communities effectively. Collaborating closely with senior engineers, lead developers, and the architecture team, you will focus on constructing new platforms, both large and small, and iterate through enhancements that integrate seamlessly across various channels. Additionally, you will work alongside the analytics team to establish a feedback loop, continually refining and enhancing our existing systems. Duties: Actively collaborate with the IT Quality Engineering team to ensure alignment and integration of best practices across development projects. Provide expert guidance and support in the selection and implementation of automation tools. Lead initiatives to foster the adoption of automation technologies across various teams Lead the design and development of software applications utilizing Microservices and API architecture. Develop, test, and support services facilitating integration among diverse software applications. Deliver all applications with a Cloud-first mindset, adhering to Agile methodologies. Implement Developer Efficiency Index measures such as Unit Test Coverage, automated packaging, and deployment standards. Partner with the Quality Enablement team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement strategic quality enhancements. Ensure all software applications meet IT Risk and compliance standards, maintaining the highest security and vulnerability-free status. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5-8 years experience as QA Engineer / SDET Experience with object-oriented languages, e.g., C#, Python, Java. Experience with software development process. Experience with para-functional testing, e.g., performance, security A strong passion for advancing healthcare through technology. Solid communication skills. Curious demeanor that will advocate for customers. 5-8 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in computer science or related field. Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Proven track record in a senior developer role within complex systems. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $104,800 - $144,300 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
