Location: Manhattan, NY (On-site preferred) Duration: 6 to 9 months Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer for a temporary engagement for a client of ours in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing Windows Server technologies and related systems, ensuring smooth operations and high availability. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including clustering configurations. Implement and oversee monitoring and observability solutions using Logic Monitor and DataDog. Administer Active Directory and associated technologies (DNS, GPO, IPAM, PKI). Utilize Zerto for disaster recovery processes. Manage VMware environments and storage solutions. Schedule and automate jobs using Active Batch. Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other M365 applications. Administer email services using Proofpoint and Exchange. Manage file servers and DFS, utilizing FSX, S3, and Windows servers. Provide support for Linux environments and basic networking tasks. Assist with AWS cloud services and backup solutions using Rubrik. Support Azure VDI and Azure Remote Desktop services. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server technologies, including clustering and virtualization. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Logic Monitor, DataDog) and job scheduling (Active Batch). Experience with Active Directory and related technologies. Understanding of disaster recovery solutions, specifically Zerto. Experience with VMware and storage management. Familiarity with M365 applications and email management (Proofpoint, Exchange). Any Linux and networking experience is a plus. Experience with AWS and backup services (Rubrik) is beneficial. Knowledge of Azure VDI or Azure Remote Desktop is a plus.
