Signature/Data Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Signature/Data Analyst to support MDA. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Perform target missile trajectory and aerodynamics analyses, test analysis (vehicle predictions and post-mission performance assessment and reporting, test requirements development, coordinate system transformations, and modeling/simulation. Perform system engineering in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test including requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis, and reporting. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in STEM (physics, engineering, math, etc.). 3 years working on missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects. Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes. Experience in any or all of the following disciplines: rocket motor propulsion, flowfield modeling and signatures, design, CAD, trajectory, Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signatures, or Optical Signatures. Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel. Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Skilled in the use of Matlab, and TAOS software. Familiar with plume flowfield and signature modeling tools and codes. Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems, or hypersonic weapons.
