GCP Cloud Architect Remote Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying Kubernetes GKE, Cloud SQL, no-SQL Databases, Big Query, Big Query ML. Candidate should be very familiar with GCP networking services and constructs. The candidate will work in concert with the cloud operations teams for monitoring leveraging the best-in-class observability tooling. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure as code and the ability to design public cloud enterprise-class infrastructure. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions on Google Cloud. Deploy applications in Kubernetes GKE, manage databases using Cloud SQL, and handle networking tasks with VPC. Make recommendations on which Kubernetes solution should be used given application characteristics, e.g. GKE Standard, Enterprise, GKE Autopilot Adapt and refine current service policies which define perimeter and zero trust networking. Develop the design of ingress/egress, service mesh, helm charts, container registry and namespace convention. Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the optimal performance and uptime of our services. Leverage infrastructure as code methodologies for efficient cloud deployment and management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and guide best practices for cloud architecture. Key understanding of applying Google Best Practices for architecture to software-defined infrastructure and modern application architecture. Provide recommendations on cloud native identity and access management and storage of secrets. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing solutions on Google Cloud. Proven experience with Kubernetes GKE, Cloud SQL, GCP networking, Security strategies and monitoring. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles. Familiarity with NIST 800-53 cybersecurity controls and the ability to service policies to enforce these controls. Certifications in GCP is a requirement Bachelors degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience. Experience with health care regulations of PHI, HITRUST, HIPAA is a plus.
