What does a Automation Test Engineer do?As a Full-Time Automation Test Engineer at Bill360 Inc, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a top-quality product reaches the market by collaborating closely with product managers and development teams. Your expertise will involve maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our product's functionalities while crafting automated test cases to validate new features. You'll assist the automation lead in optimizing existing code and performing maintenance tasks, all while engaging in thorough peer code reviews.
Being involved early in the development process allows you to provide valuable feedback before any code is written, enhancing overall efficiency. You'll be responsible for tracking test execution milestones and reporting issues that may affect project timelines, ensuring stakeholders are informed of any automated test failures related to product defects. Additionally, your critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive innovation, enabling you to identify requirements and suggest recommendations during challenging situations.

Are you the Automation Test Engineer we're looking for?To thrive as a Full-Time Automation Test Engineer at Bill360 Inc, you'll need a robust skill set and relevant experience. A solid understanding of testing concepts, including the distinctions between manual and automated testing, is crucial. Your familiarity with Agile methodologies and active participation in Sprint teams will ensure seamless collaboration.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps is essential for scheduling and executing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines. You must be adept at conceptualizing product functionalities into test cases and scripts, alongside a solid grasp of API behaviors and their testing methods. Code hygiene and efficient coding practices are vital, as is your experience with .NET Core, C#, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
Additionally, managing user stories and test plans in Azure DevOps or similar platforms will be part of your responsibilities. Bonus points will be awarded for hands-on experience with the Cypress framework or Playwright, along with real-world automation work for performance, load capacity, and security testing. Engaging in Behavior Driven Testing projects will also set you apart in this dynamic role.

Experience with testing concepts and terms as well as an understanding of the differences and similarities of manual and automated testing
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and real-world experience being part of a Sprint team
Experience with Azure DevOps for scheduling and executing automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
The ability to conceptualize how a description of a product's functionalities can be broken into test cases
scenarios
and scripts
An understanding of the purpose and behavior of API endpoints and how to effectively test them
A firm grasp of code hygiene and efficient code writing
Development of User Stories and Tasks in Azure DevOps or other similar platforms
Management of test plans and cases in Azure DevOps Test Plans or other similar platforms
Experience with Version Control concepts
Experience with .NET Core and C#
Experience with Javascript or Typescript
