QA Analyst (remote)

OverviewKnowledge Services is seeking a remote QA Analyst for a 3+ year project in support of the State of North Dakota.
Position may work 100% remotely.
Role is open to remote applicants however applicants MUST HAVE prior experience within State government AND with unemployment insurance tax laws.
ResponsibilitiesQA Analyst Responsibilities:
• The QA Analyst will work as a skilled Unemployment Insurance Benefits QA Specialist with a focus on tax quality assurance to support our Unemployment Insurance Modernization (UI Mod) Project.
• This multi-year project aims to enhance the state’s unemployment insurance system by replacing the existing mainframe system and other components (web portals, EDMS, etc.) with a commercially available solution built on a modern technology platform.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with the QA Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify that the unemployment insurance system complies with relevant tax laws and regulations.• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts that are repeatable and adhere to established standards.• Create and maintain QA artifacts to support testing activities.• Execute various levels of testing, including functional, integration, acceptance, and regression testing.• Document software defect and validate after defect resolution• Participate in product design reviews and provide input on the functional requirement, schedules, issues, and risk• Participate in the evaluation and selection of QA testing tools and methodologies that best fit the project need• Handle issues related to QA testing component within a project• Adhere to specific QA testing standards and guideline for the project• Assists in the development of QA testing plans and cases• Create test data, execute and maintain tests and tests scripts• Review test scripts for completeness and accuracy
QualificationsQA Analyst Required Skills:
• Must possess at least 3+ years of experience managing quality assurance for information technology projects of at least $3 million in budget.
• Strong understanding of unemployment insurance tax laws.• Experience conducting quality assurance on unemployment insurance system projects.• Proven experience managing quality assurance for large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders (budget of $10 million or more).• Proficiency in Agile or hybrid Agile methodologies.• Comprehensive understanding of the entire lifecycle process of quality management.
Additional Skills and Abilities: • Strong written and oral communication skills.• Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships.• Demonstrated ability to develop and document processes clearly and effectively.• Enjoys working with people in a collaborative environment.
