The Information and Document Management Solutions (IDMS) Developer is a key role for delivering support, administration and development services for the document management suite of applications. The primary area of responsibility for this position will be to provide support and guidance for the business, participate in all levels of the software development lifecycle, and perform system administration functions on document management applications. Provide server and client support for the document management application by acting as an initial point of contact for all support related issues and concerns from internal and external end users. Administer all new and existing user account requests in accordance with Westinghouse standards and controls. Partner with application developers and administrators to resolve tier 2 and 3 support issues to achieve SLA targets set by the organization for Westinghouse businesses. Design and execute complex queries and procedures to meet customer reporting and automation requests. Collaborate with Application and Infrastructure teams for adherence to best practices and process standardization. Contribute to, develop, and maintain core Java application frameworks, APIs, and data structures. Follow design best practices and implement regular deployments of applications and customizations adhering to guidelines of system development lifecycles and agile development frameworks. Understand and leverage new features of all underlying technologies; Recommend and implement emerging software solutions. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, internal and external clients. Complete assigned project activities on time and maintain requirements, test scripts and other documentation. Adhere to established project management methodologies and documentation standards to complete all projects in assigned application area. Adhere to Westinghouse standards and controls within area of responsibility. Successful Candidate: Bachelor's Degree. Applicable disciplines are Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or (equivalent experience). 1 to 2 years of progressive responsibilities in IT 1 or more years of experience with Open Text suite of products preferred (i.e., Documentum D2, InfoArchive, Captiva, etc.) Experience with Oracle or SQL database environments and Apache Experience with Java programming language and techniques is preferred. General knowledge of REST API platforms Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems including scripting languages Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail, accuracy and ability to make sound decisions Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for critical database, networking and system administration issues Ability to fully document technical design and related project or system-level documentation Executes development work on time and within budget Provides high quality support within SLA Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills Fluency in written and spoken English Why Westinghouse?
