Strive for excellence and consider joining our growing team today JOB OVERVIEW MartinFederal has an opening for a Open Systems Architecture SME to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. This role will directly support AMSA at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Advise and provide support to Army PEO Aviation development and acquisition initiatives employing a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) using Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques. Support efforts in requirements development, functional decomposition, and allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and system components including the identification of key/critical interfaces with associated data rights strategies. Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing, perform analysis of integration results to assess system impacts. Duties Provide subject matter expertise, state of the art tools, and a warfighter perspective to support PEO Aviation enterprise, system, and component architecture and MOSA goals. Provide subject matter expertise in real-time embedded safety-critical systems and software development. Investigate and understand all stakeholder interests related to MBSE, OSA, and FACE implementations, including programs beyond PEO Aviation that directly support PEO Aviation systems. Support the development of a comprehensive OSA for PM AMSA that captures aviation enterprise capabilities that meets MOSA objectives and provides variation necessary to meet platform/product specific requirements. Direct the development of Component Specification Models (CSMs) for use in program acquisition to include the development of requirements, functional architecture, logical architecture, component behavior, interfaces, and data models with traceability tying together the structural, behavioral aspects with requirements and performance constraints. Perform analysis to verify Component Design Model (CDM) compliance with its associated CSM. Direct and participate in the preparation of program/project plans, documentation, engineering data and models, project schedules, budgets, and milestones necessary for the overall planning and execution of the assigned program. Develop, review, evaluate and make recommendations concerning acquisition documents, priorities, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, milestones, and other program matters bearing on project/program assignments. Conduct research into commercial, government, academic, and international best practices for architecture strategies and leverage other efforts where possible. Provide recommendations for development and implementation of appropriate policy measures to achieve architecture and PM AMSA goals. Identify candidate SandT architecture artifacts and support transition through improvement, maturation, coordination, engagement, and visibility. Develop products and prototypes to facilitate implementation and reduce risk. Other duties as ssigned. Required Experience and Skills U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret Clearance. BS in an engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university. 15 years of engineering experience, and 3 years of MBSE experience. Experience applying systems engineering processes for the development and documentation of system and test requirements and assessment/verification requirements. Experience developing and maintain models using SysML, UML and DoDAF (via UPDM or UAF) Experience with real-time safety critical systems Detail-oriented with solid writing skills Ability to successfully comprehend and adhere to technical and operational standards/processes. Must be able to effectively interact with Government customers and contractors. Understanding of Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE). Desired Experience and Skills Experience applying FACE, RTCA DO-178B/C, and RTCA DO-254. Understanding of Integrated Modular Avionics (DO-297), ARINC 653, ARINC 661. Understanding of Hardware Open System Technology (HOST), Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA), C5ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS).
