The Sr. Cloud Engineer/Architect (Google) will be responsible for various cloud-related tasks, including designing, migrating, developing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure in alignment with the company's strategy. You will assess the organization's IT infrastructure to determine options for moving resources to the cloud and ensure the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations by leveraging cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities : Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions and operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Perform configuration management and disaster recovery tasks for cloud environments. Develop and enforce policies for cloud services usage, manage technology requests, and ensure secure cloud operations. Maintain current cloud infrastructure, recommend improvements, and contribute to the continuous optimization of technology services. Troubleshoot complex technical issues in production systems and guide others in resolving them. Ensure the security and availability of cloud services and applications. Support the migration and modernization of workloads from on-premises data centers to Google Cloud (GCP). Qualifications & Requirements : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of experience in engineering and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). 5 years of experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) environments. Expertise in leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to operationalize and maintain cloud infrastructure. Advanced understanding of cloud technical architectures. Experience using Microsoft Defender for Cloud to identify and resolve security misconfigurations. Knowledge of ITIL disciplines and applicable regulatory requirements (SOX, FERPA, GLBA, PCI). Expertise in infrastructure design, networking, virtualization, and cloud storage. Strong experience with Google resources, including CI/CD pipeline creation and management, and GCP Blueprint & Policy for compliance. Experience with GCP Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Active Directory, GCP Site Recovery, Backup, SQL Server, and App Services. Focus on integrating security into all cloud architecture solutions. Strong documentation skills for sharing best practices and deployment methods.
