The Data Center Technician must work well with others and will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.
This position is a full-time, salaried exempt, 100% in-person role that involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation.
Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levelsConduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairsRoot cause analysis of hardware and software failuresTraining of internal teamsDevelopment of documentationProvide technical support to data center teamsDevelopment of scripts to update server and networking hardwareMaintain inventoryAssemble and install equipmentPerform maintenance of test and tools equipmentOccasional travel to other data centers as neededRequirements:
Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)Linux Operating System experienceAll physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodationsCandidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs and/or work in elevated locationsAbility to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as neededExcellent time management, organizational and communication skillsMust be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issuesEducation/Experience
Hands-on OR educational based experience with any of the following areas:Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills experienceFive years Data Center experience (minimum)Computer Networking experiencePython, Bash or other scripting languages experienceExperience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOSAn Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related fieldWhat We Offer
