Position Summary: The MedInsight team develops an industry-leading data warehouse and analytics suite for major healthcare companies including insurers, providers, and public entities. We are a tech healthcare data company transforming how the industry understands and consumes healthcare data. We are accelerating and looking for a Sr. Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team. This position focuses on healthcare data and analysis tasks that require quantitative reasoning skills, knowledge of analytic tools and technologies, and an interest in the US healthcare industry. This person's primary duty will be to work with our healthcare consultants and strategic analytics team by conducting complex analyses on large datasets with statistical analyses as needed, and collaborating on analytic design, feasibility testing, and sensitivity tests. This role will also utilize MedInsight business intelligence solution. Primary Responsibilities: Work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment. Use SQL and Python and other analytic tools to query large healthcare research datasets. Apply statistical techniques to rapidly determine which patterns or correlations are significant, and which are due to chance. Work with healthcare consultants and analytics engineers to design analyses of healthcare data that generate actionable insights for clients. Develop technical specifications for analyses of healthcare data. Support documentation of analysis results and methodologies. Perform ad hoc analyses of healthcare data using Azure Databricks, SQL Server, and other tools. Work independently on assigned tasks, i.e., plan, organize, problem solve and meet established deadlines. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prioritize work under time pressure. Follow-through and exceptional attention to detail on all project tasks are essential. Follow company quality and risk management guidelines and MedInsight policies. Acts in accordance with MedInsight core values Preferred Skills and Experience: Candidates must be team players with excellent interpersonal skills. They must also have some experience/ familiarity with data analysis using large data sets. Experience with healthcare datasets is a significant plus. Education/experience: Bachelor's degree in data analytics or data science Education/experience with quantitative analysis, statistics, and/or data science. Skills: Strong experience coding in SQL Strong experience in statistical techniques Strong analytical ability Healthcare data knowledge Strong Microsoft Excel experience Experience with Python, PySpark, and/or Databricks a plus Curiosity and a design to learn new technologies and concepts Effective oral and written communication Punctual and reliable Team player with positive and energetic attitude. Compensation and Location: The salary range is $66,000 to $129,000, depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. This role can be located remotely within the US.
