Sr. Cloud Architect
for a program supporting the United States Army Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA). The Sr. Cloud Architect will be supporting the customer with organizing and putting together the migration of on-prem Army mission systems to the cloud.
Location: Remote (Must be within 240 miles from Ft. Belvoir, Virginia)
Clearance Level: U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret at minimum is required for the program
Scope:
Migration to the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) Cloud Army (cARMY) environment provides the opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the Army delivers IT services and make use of data and analytics to meet mission requirements. Cloud environments used as platforms are Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The program's scope is to provide IT services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Army ECMA to support overall strategy and migration to the cARMY environment.
Responsibilities:
Define organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and initiativesEstablish systems architecture, ensuring IA compliance, coordinating and completing project effortsInterface with the government personnel and provide progress reportsCollaborate with fellow cloud engineers and architects specializing in AWS and Azure to design, define, and develop strategic cloud solutionsDeploy strategic cloud solutions to ensure scalability, security, and innovationLeverage knowledge of cloud strategy development, adoption of commercial cloud best practices, solutions architecture, and application/data migrationLeverage understanding of NIST/FedRAMP security controls and design, architecture, implementation, migration, testing, and assessing of AWS & Azure, or similar in applying Federal requirements to implement cloud solutionsQualifications:
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearanceEducation and Experience: BS degree in Computer Engineering in related field with 10 years of experience or 15 years of combined computer/network architecture experience and 5 years within the past eight years of experience in Cloud Architecture is acceptable in lieu of degree)Experience supporting US Army of DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems in a technical management capacity5 years of experience supporting government cloud initiatives at an enterprise levelCompensation:
Pay range:
$190,000 - $205,000
(based on years of relevant experience and education)Benefits: Cigna healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k), 20 days paid time off with 11 federal holidays
