JOB SUMMARY: The Lead SQL OLAP Developer will focus on designing, developing, and implementing a robust data warehouse on Azure Fabric. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enabling data analytics capabilities through the creation of OLAP cubes and setting the foundation for future AI-driven insights. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Data Warehouse Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of a scalable and efficient data warehouse using Azure Fabric. Cube Development: Design, develop, and maintain OLAP cubes to support advanced data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs. Data Modeling: Develop and implement complex data models that support data analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with reporting, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements. AI Readiness: Prepare the data warehouse infrastructure to support future artificial intelligence and machine learning projects, ensuring data is structured and accessible for advanced analytics. Best Practices & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices for SQL development, data governance, and security within the data warehouse environment. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and data models. Give development teams advice, thought leadership, and mentoring to help them enhance their cloud competencies. Ensure application size, performance, and uptime while upholding strict code quality criteria. Manage cloud environments in compliance with the organization's security policies. Utilize Cloud's automation technology possibilities. QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications. Education, Training, Certifications: High school Diploma, or equivalen , required. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant discipline, strongly preferred. Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements: 7 years of experience in SQL development and data warehousing. Three or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Synapse Analytics. Proven experience in designing and implementing OLAP cubes and data models. Experience with data integration and ETL tools, preferably in an Azure environment. Proficient in data modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas. Experience with AI and machine learning technologies is a plus. Providing support to cloud users Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, advanced analytics Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, and subject-matter experts Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize, preferred. Communication Skills: Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers Other Qualifications: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
