Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an RTB CDS Administrator to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. Your duties will include system administration, patching, backup and restore operations, software license management, and assisting the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management. You will be an integral part of our ISD-NS Team, contributing to the reliability and security of our computer systems.Responsibilities
Perform Linux Administration duties.
Perform installations and patching of Linux operating systems.Work with existing team to get the diodes stood and operational.Assist and lead the deployment and administration of the RTB (Raise the Bar) CDS (Cross Domain Solutions).Install software and troubleshoot software install issues.Monitor systems and preform hardware troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance and security updates.Perform system backups and provide data recovery.Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree and 8 years of IT experience.Must have an active DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to hold a DOE Q Clearance.Must reside in Los Alamos, NM as this position is 100% onsite.Proven track record of problem solving using strong critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills.Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.Ability to work seamlessly within a team as an active contributor.Strong verbal and written customer service and communications skills.Knowledge of, and desire to follow IT Operations best practices and procedures such as issue management and incident response.Prior experience with information security best practices.Preferred Qualifications:5 years' experience with Linux (RedHat or Ubuntu) and are capable of OS installation, network configuration, and package/patch management.3 years of experience with python scripting. Python experience is mandatory.Experience working with one-way diodes.Knowledge /experience with "Raise The Bar" and "Cross Domain Strategy".Raise the Bar is a government strategy for improving cross domain file transfer solution security and is intended to be used to protect U.S. Government information.About Us:Edgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
