Senior Commodities Technology Specialist (Endur Expertise) Location: Houston, TX Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commodities Technology Specialist with a strong background in the Endur application and commodities trading. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring and customizing Endur to meet business requirements, along with solid knowledge of the energy commodities market. This role is based in Houston, TX, a major hub for energy and commodities trading. Key Responsibilities: Endur Application Expertise: Configure and customize Endur to align with specific business needs. Create and modify scripts in AVS or OpenComponents for reporting and automation. Manage Endur integration with external systems and third-party tools. Conduct performance tuning, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical bottlenecks. Lead and execute Endur system upgrades and version migrations. Commodities Trading & Risk Management Knowledge: Understand the full lifecycle of commodities trading, including trade execution, risk management, and settlement. Have experience with a range of commodities, particularly in the energy sector (oil, gas, power), and other physical commodities like metals and agriculture. Stay informed of market regulations such as Dodd-Frank or MiFID and their impact on commodities trading. Familiarity with risk management techniques, including value-at-risk (VaR), pricing models, and hedging strategies. Technical Leadership: Lead development teams, collaborating cross-functionally with traders, quants, and risk managers. Shape the technical strategy and architecture for Endur and associated trading systems. Manage projects, including large-scale Endur implementations or upgrades, from conception to delivery. Project-Based or Full-Time Engagement: Consultant: If required for specific projects, such as Endur system implementations or upgrades, bring in expert-level consulting for specialized, short-term needs. Full-Time Employee (FTE): For long-term, strategic initiatives requiring sustained system oversight and innovation, a full-time role with ongoing leadership is preferred. Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Endur ETRM system. Deep knowledge of the commodities trading sector, with an emphasis on energy commodities (oil, gas, power) and related markets. Proven technical leadership, including managing teams and large-scale technology projects. Strong understanding of risk management, market regulations, and compliance standards in commodities trading. Experience in Houstons commodities market is highly preferred. Preferred Skills: Expertise in Endur scripting (AVS, OpenComponents) and integration techniques. Track record of successfully leading Endur system upgrades and performance optimizations.
