HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance – 3DC
Shift:  3rd shift - Crew DC (4 days on – 4 days off)
Hours: 6:12 pm - 6:24 am

Key Responsibilities:  

Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and operate Plant Utility system equipment and processes including, but not limited to, the following:  boilers, reciprocating and centrifugal air compressors, chillers, air dryers, fans, pumps, wells and HVAC equipment.  HVAC equipment includes, but not limited to, the following: condensate, steam, compressed air, propane, natural gas, oxygen, process waste water, water purification, water chemistry, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and fire suppression systems.    

Interpret and understand Mechanical and Electrical blueprints and P&ID diagrams.  

Use a wide variety of tools including, but not limited to, the following:  multi-meter, personal computers, vibration analysis, laser measurement, refrigerant gauge set, refrigerant recovery machine, vacuum pumps, steam trap testing equipment, man lifts, hand tools and power tools. 

Skills/Requirements

High School diploma/GED required.
Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to meet Kohler Company’s MVR Guidelines and maintain good standing. 
Must complete a written technical skills knowledge evaluation and receive a passing score on the STM (Standard Model Timing) assessment.  
Must provide own tools.
Additional requirements:
An associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical degree or must be enrolled in accredited program working towards the degree. Must hold or be able to acquire a valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18-months.  Required to be an active participate on the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
