This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.FunctionsProcesses orders for inventory and maintains information in designated databases. Receives incoming freight, supplies, and packages from various vendors. Verifies orders and checks condition of items. Records received inventory and tags and stores items, as required. Ensures delivery of materials to requesting department or agency. Performs tasks, using standard operating equipment and computer programs to prepare forms, correspondence, reports, and other documents. Greets customers, screens incoming calls, answers questions, or refers caller to appropriate area. Assists with scheduled inventory audits. Performs other duties as assigned.DimensionsNoneKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of general inventory control procedures and equipment. Ability to maintain supplies and inventory records. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to operate standard office equipment.Minimum QualificationsThe formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience in inventory control or related area. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
