Job Number: R0206072 Wireless Network Engineer The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable Department of Defense (DoD) to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? That's why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs. As a wireless network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in OSI Model, network transport layers, and multi-protocol label switching to support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technologies, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in network engineering, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. You Have: 6 years of experience with designing and conducting analysis of wireless communications systems used on military aircraft, vehicles, and deployed locations 6 years of experience with designing and implementing wireless communication architectures and solutions, evaluating vendor products, and recommending solutions that meet the customer's need Experience with regulatory and partner system constraints for wireless communications, high bandwidth wireless communications, including Satcom, MANET, LOS, Free Optical Space, Cellular, and tactical data links Experience withmaking and reading system diagrams, including Electrical interfaces and I/O mapping Experience in gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, briefing customers, and supporting the integration of wireless communication systems Experience reaching out to vendors for quotes and asserting requirement needs Knowledge of Document Architectures in SysML to model and document wireless communication systems Ability to troubleshoot communication systems to identify and resolve problems. Ability to configure wireless communications systems to comply with regulatory and partner system constraints, and install and configure SD-WAN solutions Top Secret clearance Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronics and Computer Technology, or IT or Bachelor's degree in an engineering field Nice If You Have: Experience with a mastery of wireless network architecture technologies, concepts, and industry standards Experience with regulatory and partner system constraints for wireless communications, high bandwidth wireless communications, including Satcom, MANET, LOS, Free Optical Space, Cellular, and tactical data links Experience with SysML and its application to document architecture Knowledge of high bandwidth wireless communications, including Satcom, Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET), Line of Sight (LOS), Free Optical Space, and Cellular Ability to provide detailed technical planning, ensure compliance to the guidelines and serve to make change recommendations when required Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
