Nova Biomedical is hiring a W arehouse Associate I
in our
Waltham, MA
facility on the
First Shift (7:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M).
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for supporting Nova's warehouse operations. While specific tasks can vary depending on business needs, this position's main responsibility is to ensure that all material is accounted for, processed and organized to meet Nova's standards. Additional warehouse job duties and responsibilities are included below. Other
responsibilities
include:
Pick, pack and ship finished goods and raw materials accurately and safely to prevent damage while following established procedures.Report discrepancies with any products being picked or shipped.Pick material issue tickets in support of all departments.Load and unload delivery trucks as required, including products from vendors; inspect and sign for damaged goods upon receiptAccurately count, receive and consolidate product into SAP warehouse management system.Receive and deliver production orders to appropriate individuals and/or department(s) in a timely manner; notify Planner if there is a discrepancy.Receive and ship interplant transfers.Consolidate inventory to maximize space in the warehouse.Perform accurate cycle counts of finished goods and raw materials as directed by the Group Lead or Manager/Supervisor. The Warehouse Associate will follow all documented procedures and use good judgement in the performance of their duties.Perform and maintain daily housekeeping of the receiving dock, stage areas, refrigerators/freezers and warehouse in a manner that it is organized, clean, and safe to work in.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
0-1 year of warehouse experience with pick, pack, ship, receiving and replenishment experience.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (~50 pounds)Must be able to perform physical activity associated with daily tasks such as bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and other repetitive motions.Capable of always wearing safety shoesAbility to drive forklifts, use walkie pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks and other related warehouse equipment.Experience using a handheld scanner gun preferred.Hands-on experience using SAP or other Warehouse Management System preferred.Skills and Competencies:
Superb organization, time-management and attention to detail.Strong communication skills.Basic math and computer skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to take direction and work as a team in a team-oriented environment.Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent0-1 years of distribution experience
