Bank Hapoalim seeks VP - Portfolio Manager, Commercial and Industrial Lending (New York, NY)Job Duties: The Portfolio Manager (PM) works closely with the Credit Analysis Unit (CAU)/ Underwriting and the Relationship Manager (RM) in the underwriting of loans, monitoring/maintaining the overall health of the portfolio and the strengthening of client relationships. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager supports the achievement of intuitional and overall Credit Risk goals.Duties include:1.Underwrite new and existing credits including renewals, amendments and annual reviews and prepare the Credit Application Memo in concert with CAU, including the presentation of transactions to the Credit Committee; as part of the underwriting process, conduct comprehensive business analysis and industry analysis, with a particular focus on guarantee and guarantor analysis (primarily Israeli publicly traded companies), identify and assess key risks and corresponding mitigants, Credit Policy and regulatory guidance exceptions and perform profitability assessments using metrics such as RAROC (Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital) and RORWA (Return on Risk-Weighted Assets).2.Consistently and proactively monitor the credit condition of the portfolio on a daily basis and evaluate borrowers and facilities credit risk and financial performance of borrowers on a monthly/quarterly basis, including examining borrowers' adherence to financial covenants and reporting requirements, and conducting thorough reviews of monthly BBCs (Borrowing Base Certificates) and aging reports.3.Spread financial statements in Moodys CreditLens and prepare monthly/quarterly Trend Cards and Working Capital Status Reports.4.Generate Risk Ratings, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative analysis in the Moodys CreditLens system; identify early warning signs and deterioration trends, re-evaluate the risk ratings of borrowers and facilities on a monthly/quarterly basis, and present findings to the Credit Committee.5.Take full responsibility for the preparation and delivery of the credit portfolio during the quarterly portfolio review meetings.6.Help execute the pre-screening process for new transactions; refining the deal structure, conducting a thorough risk assessment, preparing the pre-screen memorandum, delivering presentations to the Credit Risk team and formulating the term sheet presented to the client. 7.Help execute the due diligence process of new clients, including lien and litigation searches, consulting on compliance matters, and the commission of field examination, appraisals, Phase I environmental assessments, or other reports as deemed appropriate. 8.Collaborate closely with middle and back-office teams to ensure the accurate recording of transactions within the banks internal systems, and ensure the seamless facilitation of funding and the appropriate flow of funds.9.Responsible for scheduling and reviewing recurring field examinations and appraisals independent of the review performed by Corporate Governance and for addressing all issues presented by Corporate Governance.10.Responsible for monitoring and addressing ECS compliance.All Requirements: Masters degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field plus 2 years of experience in a financial analyst or credit analyst role.Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include the following:1)2 years of experience in credit and financial statement analysis, due diligence, and loan documentation for large scale transactions, including those larger than $100MM in size.2)2 years of experience with credit rating methodologies and portfolio management principles, with a focus on Israels local capital markets and Israels local credit rating agencies.3)2 years of experience in building financial models in Excel, including cash flow models and financial ratios used for credit analysis.4)1 year of experience with Moody's CreditLens, Collateral Monitoring, and Loan Origination systems, showcasing proficiency in financial software tools.5)1 year of experience with FDIC Banking Regulations.Job Site: 1120 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10036 (Full-time) Salary: $160,000 to $195,000/year Please apply via email to recruitingbhiusa.com & reference Job Code: BHI020 Minimum Salary: 160,000 Maximum Salary: 195,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
