Description:
The Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for operating and programming the MultiCam CNC Router. This position will cut an array of materials in our cabinet manufacturing process, including but not limited to, melamine, laminate, plywood, polycarbonate, ceiling tiles, e-panel, butcher block, and tough board. Instruction will be taken from the supervisor on following print requirements and using various manufacturing equipment and hand tools to build and attach various parts, materials and equipment to custom trailers according to Customer Specifications. The Manufacturing Specialist will report to the Shop Team Leader and will perform any and all duties as requested.
Responsibilities:
Operating MultiCam router. Receive and retrieve cut nest files and assembly prints with material instructions from our design engineers and preform from time to time, manual programming at the machine as neededAssemble cabinets when required to support production depending on the customer needs.Perform daily maintenance to tools and daily clean upObserve all operation of the machine from start up to end of shift shut down and assure that machined pieces are within the specifications set out from the design engineers prints.Communicate and collaborate with build and team leads to determine timelines and priorities of work being processed within the cabinet department.The employee will work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.The employee will be responsible for their area of the Shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so.The employee will be on the job as scheduled for start, stop and break times and accurately fill out the proper information on a Job Slip at the end of each day.The employee will conduct themselves according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including but not limited to attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, PTO, cell phones, etc.Requirements:
Seasoned MultiCam CNC operator with 2-7 years of experienceAble to read blue prints, specifications including dimension and tolerances and tooling instructionsAble to set top and bottom limits for toolingCarpentry, woodworking and cabinet assembly skill a plusAble to work with hand tools to position and secure work pieces within the cabinet department standardsDetail oriented; strong attention to detailsExperienced with electric and pneumatic tooling and basic hand toolsDiploma/GEDMath Skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divideAble to read a tape measureAble to stand 10hrs/dayAble to lift up to 50lbs occasionallyAble to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activityAble to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, twist, climb and/or crawlNot afraid of heights (able to climb a 12 ft ladder)Able to communicate (read, write, speak, listen and understand work instructions).Pre-employment ScreeningPPE: Steel-toes, and safety glasses required at all times
