The Tsui Group is seeking a candidate who is qualified and experienced in educational facility construction projects to serve as a Scheduler II for a large educational client within Los Angeles County with the below duties:
Coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophiesPerform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assuranceEvaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedulePerform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claimsParticipate in change order negotiationsPerform Critical Path and Earned Value analysesIdentify schedule related problems which arise during project execution and recommend corrective actions and creative solutionsConduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting.Review contractor's weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare narrative of findings, submit and present to management for decision making.Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.Perform cost analysis in support of design and construction phases of capital projects.Prepare cost loaded schedule to support comprehensive cash flow projectionsUnderstand, interpret and apply contracts, policies and procedures within Build LACCD guidelines.Communicate effectively orally and in writingExcellent oral and written communication.Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and dutiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentRequirements
3-5 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.Experience with time impact analysis.Experience with construction claims and change ordersBenefits
Salary Range: $119,000-$124,000Medical, Vision, & Dental - 100% covered for the employee*Life and Disability Insurance10.5 days of Vacation pay (Accrued)6 days of Sick pay (Available Immediately)13 days of Holiday pay3% Employer Contribution 401k (After 1 year of service)Monthly Stipend for Cell PhoneLaptop for work purposes
