Overview:
Summary/ObjectiveThe Loss Mitigation Specialist on our Impounds team will research accounts and identify opportunities for possible recovery; ensuring proper handling of all collateral to include negotiating with impound lots for its release and assignment of repossession agents to secure them.
This role operates fully onsite in our Spartanburg, SC office.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Review Impound accounts in Impound ques making timely decision on if the vehicle is valuable to secure.Initiate Impound pick up based on established policies and procedures.Assign third party agency to repose units from 3rd parties and monitor to ensure compliance with repossession procedures.Manage assignments to ensure proper agent coverage based on urgency of the situation.Negotiate bail out fees with the lots based of information gathered and state laws.Timely response to impound notices to ensure resolution is achieved as quickly as possible.Review damage and determine value of vehicles properly to ensure retrieving vehicle is appropriate for vehicle condition, age, market factors, etc.Keep records of all communications, including the date and time of the impoundment, the name of the towing company, and the charges incurred.
