Classification: Administrative/Professional Exemption Status/Test: Exempt Job Grade: 3 Department: Information Technology Solutions Reports To: Director Job Goal: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and address business requirements. The Technical Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between customers and our development team to collect, clearly document and communicate both technical and non-technical information, ensuring that the delivered solution satisfies business requirements. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's Degree Experience 2 years of working in a Service Desk environment or support role to track and solve customer requests through remediation 2 years of experience with testing solutions by defining acceptance criteria and hands-on experience testing solutions from development to production (automated or non-automated means) 3 years of project-related experience in supporting and improving enterprise applications through streamlining processes using SWOT, Business Process Modeling (BPM) flows, or other techniques to find efficiencies Experience with requirements analysis and ability differentiate between technical and non-functional requirements Special Knowledge and Skills Outstanding collaboration skills Strong computer, IT operations or software background Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability communicate highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience Solid critical thinking and analysis skills, including being able to define the "What" and "How" of a situation and understand the risks, rewards and opportunities presented to stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills High level of organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Experience and Qualifications 3 years of experience as a technical business analyst Working knowledge of agile methodologies Working knowledge of AWS or Amazon tools for development Technical or development experience in full stack development Experience using JIRA or Microsoft Azure DevOps for agile development Major Responsibilities: Primary contact between customers and development team to ensure smooth transfer of information and a timely and accurate response. Define and develop User Story requirements following agile methodology. Document user stories, features, and acceptance criteria in Microsoft Azure DevOps as required by the organization. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on platform and technologies used within the organization. Facilitate meetings and scrum sessions with internal and external customers who require assistance to define and solve bugs, user stories, or features. Develop creative and innovative technological solutions to business challenges and requirements. Communicate, translate and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from both internal and external customers. Perform some development within toolsets of AWS framework, Angular, React, SQL, NOSQL and working with DevOps team assisting where needed for tasks to solve bugs, features or user stories. (Training can be provided) Supervisory Responsibilities: None Physical Demands/Environmental Factors/ Mental Demands: Frequent use of standard office equipment; prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions (keyboarding and use of mouse); occasional lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds); may work prolonged and irregular hours; work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under pressure.
