In this on-site role you will assist the IT Security Manager with the research, analysis, preparation, adoption, and maintenance of the RTAA cyber security plans, policies, procedures, and activities.

Examples of Duties

Investigate and document IT systems, processes, users, and IT supply chain providers in the preparation of a comprehensive IT Asset Inventory.Participate in the analysis, evaluation, and prioritization of IT assets to create and maintain a Comprehensive Risk Analysis.Conduct research, recommend, and apply IT security policies and controls to IT assets using a methodical, risk-based approach.Audit IT systems, processes, and user activities to ensure compliance with cyber policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.Conduct, evaluate, and communicate results of regular awareness training campaigns.Monitor event-driven security monitoring tools, including Intrusion Protection System (IPS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM), and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) systems. Establish baselines, summarize data, and prepare and deliver reports.Research and investigate anomalous system activities and behavior. Work with third-party providers to identify, investigate and remediate cyber-related incidents and attacks.Perform and assist with various Cyber Security Incident Response Plan functions and activities, including forensics research, communications, remediation, restoration, reporting, and ongoing plan revision.Assist in the development of Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations plans to restore RTAA systems and networks following business interruption.Review and maintain compliance with cyber security-related regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Assist in the execution of incident response tabletop exercises.Serve as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Assistant Information Security Coordinator.

Entry Salary: $79,997 - $100,796 annually, with performance based annual increases up to $121,595. Initial salary placement will be based upon experience and qualifications. This position is salaried and is exempt from overtime.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of directly related IT systems and technologies implementation experience may be substituted on a year for year basis (e.g., one year of full-time experience will be considered equivalent to thirty (30) semester or (45) quarter units of college course work).

Required Experience: Two (2) years of full-time employment in a cyber security-related position.

Preferred Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as: COMPTIA CYSA+, International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) CISSP; Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) GSEC

Required Licenses: A valid Driver's License is required at the time of application.
