Indirect Tax Manager - Cambridge, MAJoin Philips as an Indirect Tax Manager and use your analytical expertise to lead high-volume tax operations in the health technology sector. You'll ensure full compliance and accuracy in indirect tax, supporting multiple U.S. businesses while expanding your skills in tax and accounting. Reporting to the Group Tax Function in Cambridge, you'll enjoy a hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office). Build a network across Philips and external partners to drive best-in-class results. Your role:Serve as the main consultant and resource for indirect tax inquiries, managing the preparation and data review of transaction tax filings (sales/use tax, personal property tax, gross receipts, unclaimed property, business licenses) by third-party vendors.

Act as the primary liaison between third-party vendors and business units to ensure compliance with state and local regulations. Identify, review, calculate, and maintain provisions with support from the audit manager.

Review monthly tax accruals for accuracy, collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile tax accounts, and build strong relationships with business units to ensure tax reporting and compliance aligns with company KPIs.

Conduct annual nexus analysis, update registrations as needed, and prepare projections for indirect tax accruals and payments. Ensure proper taxability on sales and purchasing functions with business units.

Support ERP system design and implementation for indirect tax, ensuring compliance, enhancing efficiency, and minimizing risk. Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.

Research, document, and stay updated on sales/use tax issues, maintaining documentation in line with SOX requirements. Ensure proper processes are in place to collect and audit sales tax exemption certificates for compliance.

You're the right fit if:You've acquired 7+ years of experience in indirect tax within a large corporate and/or public environment, being able to work under critical time constraints showing excellent analytical, organization, planning and communication skills.

Your skills include knowledge of SAP and Vertex (O series preferred), HRS Pro Unclaimed Property software, experience with Unclaimed Property required and knowledge of US Indirect tax laws/regulations

You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar areas. MST and/or CPA/CMI.
