BLS, PALS2 years PICU experience is a hard requirement.RNs required to titrate drips.Experience with Sedation Protocol & vasoactive drugs with Dr's orders.Able to manage common titratable &/or set rate drips such as Sedation (Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex), Vasoactive Drugs, TPN, MIVF, etc.Schedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling: 7a-7p; 7p-7a (self-scheduling and block scheduling possible subject to unit needs).Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends in a 4 week schedule.Holiday Requirement: Work holidays as needed & included in perm staff holiday rotation schedule.Unit Specific Information
Unit: PICUCommon diagnoses/Types of patients include Congenital Heart Program, DKA, Respiratory, Neurosurgery, Tracheostomies, Ventilators, G-Tubes.Charge Nurse/House Supervisor present subject to staffing.Nurse aids present in the unit.Pediatrician in house 24/7.RT Equipment includes Vents, Cpap, BiPap managed per RT.Floating Requirements within children's hospital (L&D, NICU, & Acute Peds).Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue with fun scrub tops.Unit/Department specific orientation includes EPIC training, NSO, Competencies, and equipment review.Additional Details
Submission Requirements: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system.Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility.Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years.Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years.Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply.Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email.We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening.COVID VACCINE REQUIRED with exemption options available.
