Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Manager (BIM) is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and administration of business intelligence solutions using Power BI and associated technologies. This role will primarily focus on extracting data from multiple sources, including SAP, SQL databases, and manual data platforms. The BIM will make necessary transformations as far upstream as possible to ensure a clean semantic model utilizing Star schema methodology. This person will be highly proficient in DAX for developing advanced visualizations, enabling the sales organization to leverage predictive and prescriptive data analytics. They will turn complex datasets into insightful and actionable reports, improving business outcomes related to sales performance, shipment trends, and field execution.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and manage data models for optimized Power BI reportingPerform ETL operations, integrating data from SAP, SQL, etc., into Power BIUtilize advanced DAX expressions to create KPIs, visualizations and data analyticsWorking knowledge of basic data query and manipulation concepts/languages: relevant experience includes basic relational database queries and data integration maintenanceBuild ETLs and end-user reports utilizing Rest API and other Data sourcesProvide quality end-user support across the full Business Intelligence platformComplete ad-hoc troubleshooting of tooling and platforms as neededTracks new products, promotions, and special products; and provides track reporting to management.Provide analysis and interpretation of internal/external market data: highlighting any underlying trends to identify new market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase the organization's profitabilityAd Hoc LSEC Projects & AssignmentsConsults with BDM on KPIs and user experienceResponsible for the generation of statistical reportsTracks new products, promotions, and special products; and provides track reporting to managementMaintains weekly, monthly, and annual reporting to include but not limited to Dashboard reports, costing reports, store listing, etc. and as post as requiredHighly proficient with SAP, VIP, and IDig sales reporting interfaceManaging communication for special focuses, priorities, goals, and strategic initiativesPrepare presentations for department and executive managementPosition Requirements:
Prior project-based experience working on multi-person project plansCollaborations with IT and other relevant departments to plan and execute project objectivesPrior experience creating content in a Business Intelligence platform (Power BI)Demonstrated ability to take initiative and successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments while effectively manage deadlinesEnergetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to independently drive value on a technical teamMust be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and be able to effectively utilize all available office management technologyProfessional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretionMust have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in the strictest confidenceOutstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team playerFlexibility to travel as needed
Base Pay Range : $92,000 - 134,100 (+)
