Sonoran Sun Pediatric Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and passionate fully licensed and certified Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) in Arizona. This role is for a full-time Physical Therapist.
Sonoran Sun Pediatric Therapy provides Speech Therapy (ST), Feeding Therapy (FT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT) services for patients from birth to age 20. Our setting is highly collaborative, fun, and sensory-focused. Therapists can easily incorporate movement and sensory activities into their sessions using our dynamic therapy gym and facilities, enhancing the treatment experience for our young patients.
The qualified applicant will provide individual client services and determine priority needs for physical therapy by:Provide individual physical therapy services, assessing clients' needs through initial evaluations and re-assessmentsDevelop and implement personalized, compliant care plans based on specific client goals and in accordance with guidelines.Deliver direct patient care, with or without the assistance of therapy aides, to execute treatment plans.Reassess and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the program's effectiveness.Educate patients, families, and caregivers about their roles in the treatment process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including PTAs and other specialists, to enhance therapy programs.Document accurate clinical notes regarding patient evaluations and progress.Monitor patient responses to therapy and communicate changes to patients, families, and other medical staff as necessary.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements.The qualified candidate will also:Co-treat with other disciplines as beneficial for the client.Develop strategic and long-range plans for the program. May also be required to participate in case reviews, medical and school consultation staffing, and exit staffing.Promote professional growth by keeping up-to-date with new research and treatment innovations in pediatric physical therapy and inspiring colleagues to do the same.Be self-directed, demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgmentExhibit good oral and written communication skills.Seek and obtain necessary information to function effectively in a progressive pediatric clinic environmentMaintain flexibility and organization in a fast-paced, child-focused settingBilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!Job Type:

Professional QualificationsHolder of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (specific requirements to be determined based on licensure dates).Licensed in the state of Arizona to practice.
Physical RequirementsDuties require extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, sitting/playing and crouching on the floor.Requires lifting, positioning, and/or transferring clients, including the ability to participate in physical activities and play-based therapies.Most frequently required to lift up to 35 pounds, must occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Experience:Pediatrics: 1 year (Preferred, field work experience accepted)Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
