Location: Albany, NY Category: Information Technology Posted On: Mon Mar 4 2024 Job Description: FUNCTION & SCOPE: Under the guidance of the Application Development Manager, the SUNY Research Foundation is seeking an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Developer to join our dynamic team in Albany, NY or remotely. The ideal candidate should demonstrate superior technical and analysis skills along with the willingness to learn, grow, and develop in our technology ecosystem. This position is responsible for the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex technical solutions for our Oracle EBS Applications (Human Capital Management and Financials). In addition, the candidate should have a desire to support end-users, troubleshoot issues, and assist with testing while building out new capabilities with a focus on providing superior service. Critical thinking skills and the ability to successfully work independently in a fast-paced highly collaborative agile environment are critical success factors for the incumbent in this role. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform developer project tasks related to requirement understanding and completeness, solution proposal, design, development, configuration, unit testing and system testing. Analyze and design application solutions resulting from requirements gathering involving large stakeholder groups. Work with the Business Analysts team in analyzing and developing solutions to business needs. Design and develop solutions in Oracle EBS applications. Create and maintain complex Technical Design and Specification documents. Design and develop forms, extension, PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions to extend Oracle application functionality based on user requirements. Knowledge of Oracle EBS HCM and Finance modules to understand the context for custom development and to work with BA during Project Initiation, Requirement Gathering, User Acceptance Testing, and Post-Deployment validation. Communicate technical designs and changes to team leads and members, including business users and functional analysts. Interact with the Business Analyst to ensure that requirements are complete and feasible. Participate in knowledge sharing with other developers to make them more effective. Work in a team environment by submitting design, source code, and unit test cases for review and performing reviews of other team member's deliverables. Develop and alter existing System Development Life Cycle procedures and processes using technical and industry knowledge previously learned or based on ongoing learning. Design and develop custom interfaces and conversions. Customize Oracle standard reports and develop custom reports to meet functional business requirements. Customize Oracle Workflow to meet business process requirements. Develop reports and Templates using BI Publisher and XML Publisher. Create and deploy OAF and form personalization's. Create, extend, and deploy OAF application pages. Customize and deploy existing SOA application web services. Create Bursting process to send documents via email, FTP. Ability to deal with project tasks, and multiple high priority tickets simultaneously. Mentor and assist current development staff in the use of Oracle EBS development. Comply with all supporting change control and problem management policies and procedures. Ability to be on-call, as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS Strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 Application architecture, data structures, and functionality around all Oracle EBS modules and must be familiar with Oracle APIs of these modules. Core focus on Oracle EBS development tools, including Forms, Reports, Workflow, and Oracle database programming languages. Experience with AOL including setups and registrations of concurrent programs, and a good underlying knowledge of Oracle Application module table structures and APIs. Must be able to solve complex technical problems and communicate the solution to non-technical management, peers, and end users. Knowledge of SOA and Oracle Apex development. Experience with Oracle's Workflow Administration development. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Good public speaking and presentation skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. Must demonstrate the ability to organize and plan tasks; the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to pay attention to details and be organized. Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects. Job Requirements: TECHNICAL SKILLS Oracle Developer Suite 10g (oracle Forms/Oracle Reports) Oracle Workflow 2.6 XML Publisher, BI Publisher PL/SQL, SQL Loader, SQL Plus for Oracle 11g database Shell Scripting JDeveloper for - (OAF), SOA (11g) Java, Java script Oracle ADF Oracle APEX Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Certification, training, or proven knowledge in Oracle Database and EBS Development tools is preferred. Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is between $90,907 to $110,000. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
