Transports, cleans, stores, and redistributes patient care supplies and medical equipment, including urology and code carts, to departments throughout the hospital. Ensures that customers are provided with the correct equipment requested.
Principle Responsibilities
Distribution and Pick-up.
Delivers equipment and supplies.Collects soiled and supplies.Assists with collection, cleans and restocks the code carts, and urology carts.Cleans and ensures operating equipment is available and delivered for patient use.Equipment is plugged in during storage to ensure battery charge.Enters data into scanners, logs and files. Uses equipment tracking system to track utilization and maintain workflow records for budget estimation.
Completes decontamination.
Clean soiled equipment and supplies.Washes and sanitizes daily.Operates the sanitizer, sonic cleaner and cart washer to achieve optimum sanitation.Uses proper cleaning agents and mixtures to achieve optimum cleaning.
Maintains inventory.
Assists with supply stocking and outdating.Fills orders, deliver, set-up, retrieval, cleaning and upkeep of medical equipment records.Monitors inventory levels takes action as needed when stock is low.Stocks breakout areas daily.Completes dusting and outdates daily.
Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job descriptionPreferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED0 to 2 year's experience in a hospital settingPhysical Demands
Medium Work:Lifting weight Up to 50 lbs. occasionally, Up to 25 lbs. frequently
