Who we are?
The Marketing Digital Asset Management (MDAM) team is responsible for building a proprietary digital media supply chain which is focused on ordering, storing, transforming and managing the life cycle of a large volume of marketing assets right from the creative phase to the final distribution. MDAM product serves as a digital backbone for the marketing campaigns run by the World Wide Marketing org spanning Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, which comprise of 10+ PV marketing customer groups spread across 32 locales around the globe. This team maintains the large scale asset storage and discovery solutions which acts as single pane of glass view of billions of artwork, images, trailers and other marketing assets.
What will you do?
You will be responsible to develop/maintain secure, scalable, low latency and reliable services which handle the copy, transfer, transcode, media info validation, auto QC, storage, search, AI based metadata extraction/tagging, discoverability and life cycle management of an extremely large volume of media files. You will own a unified digital asset management solution with highly configurable and customized ingest/approval/distribution workflows, which seamlessly fits into the PV, Amazon MGM Studios ecosystem and integrates with the internal authoritative systems for data exchange/enrichment, without adding additional complexity, overhead and disruption to the business. Our architecture leverages the latest in AWS cloud technologies AVP, DynamoDB, Aurora, Open Search, ECS, NLB, Fargate, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, Eventbridge, Cloudwatch, AWS Media Convert, in supporting these workflows. If you have experience building large-scale, high-performance, customer-friendly products and are interested in designing and implementing distributed systems to handle large datasets, complex domains, and problems at Amazon scale, this is the job for you.

* Design and build innovative products in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
* Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
* Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
* Design and code the right solutions by working on the following:
* Design (design patterns, reliability and scaling) and maintenance of new and existing systems.
* Scalable backend services and APIs using Java, Python.
* JavaScript frameworks such as react and node.
* CDK for AWS offerings.
About the team
You will be joining a brand new 2-pizza team based out of LA, which will interact/interface with 4 other sister teams that exist in the program and multiple other cross functional teams in the org.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Prior experience in the Media and Entertainment domain.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
