Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Defense Litigation Secretary for our client in Atlanta! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting attorneys in all phases of defense litigation, including case management, document preparation, scheduling, and communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including maintaining case files, organizing documents, and ensuring deadlines are met.Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and correspondence.Manage attorney calendars, schedule court appearances, depositions, meetings, and other legal proceedings, and coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.Serve as a point of contact between attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel, handling inquiries and relaying important information.Prepare and file documents with courts, including electronic filing (e-filing) in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.Assist with time entry and billing processes, including tracking attorney time, generating invoices, and handling billing inquiries.Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, managing correspondence, handling travel arrangements, and maintaining office supplies.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and documents related to cases and clients.Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation secretary, preferably in defense litigation.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), legal case management software, and e-filing systems.Strong understanding of litigation processes, court procedures, and legal terminology, with specific experience in defense litigation.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong written and verbal communication skills.A proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
